Vinted Members Voice Anger About Size Changes
Shoppers are voicing their frustration due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.
This online marketplace has altered its sizing categories for women's and children's garments failing to inform all shoppers about the modification.

Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed due to the recalibration.
Vinted explained the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to review their products and manually change the size if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Measurement Approach Changes
Previously, the sizes had both one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.
User Accounts
A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Another user, from Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as larger sizing 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Manual Updates
Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the sizes on "every single listing".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and Vinted sales have been crucial for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
Marketplace Information
The service features exceeding 100 million shoppers, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has proved a popular alternative to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance where an unanticipated change to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, Vinted reversed a change to its shipping options due to shopper criticism.
